Kid’s care room has been opened in Kiev’ City AIDS center
The Kiev’ City AIDS Center lives the tensed life - 385 children are registered here on books, 95 of them - with HIV/AIDS diagnosis (including 48 children on ART). The corridors are full of people during the reception hours of a kid’s infectiologist. This used to make difficult the work of specialists and it strained parents greatly. And very often it made almost impossible the normal contact with the doctor. But now, while visiting the doctors, getting ARV or being tested, the patients of the center can leave their kids under the care, without worrying about their safety.
The AIDS Center provide a room, “Vertical” Foundation determined needs and managing the project, ANTIAIDS Foundation supported this project financially. As a result, children and their parents can enjoy: a heat up table for diapering, a children's play-pen, scales for the newborns and floor scales for kids for the office of children's infectiologist, a set of children's furniture (children's table and 5 chairs), the collection of toys and a box to store toys, a children's rug, a microwave oven and an electrical teapot, a chest of drawers and a clothes tree, bottles and dummies for feeding babies, the reserve of dry milk and porridges, diapers and means for the room cleaning.
In conclusion of the project report we can say: “The kid's room works and… everybody is happy :)".
