400 thousand people secured from HIV/AIDS
It is the first antiaids project in Ukraine, which gives such quantity of direct contacts with target audience. It starts simultaneously with the launch of new media campaign, dedicated to safe sex promotion.
The main goal of the project is to provide additional communication channel for sexually active youth, which is target group of the media campaign. Supporting its main message, the project gives young people the extra stimulus to get more information about HIV/ AIDS: each spot of the campaign comes to the end with the hotline telephone number - 8 800 500 4510 – helpline on HIV/AIDS. Ones can get consultations of psychologists and leading Ukrainian experts on HIV/AIDS by calling this number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This is not the first joint project of ANTIAIDS Foundation and TM “Contex” (Medcom Ukraine Company). Partnership of two organizations has begun from distributing print materials created in frames of the Best Sex: It’s simple. Use a condom project. Toll free hotline - helpline on HIV/AIDS issues – is common project of Substance Abuse and AIDS prevention Foundation (SAAPF), ANTIAIDS Foundation and The international Alliance on HIV/AIDS in Ukraine.

Substance Abuse and AIDS prevention Foundation (SAAPF) is non-profitable charitable organization created by the experts in the field of prophylaxis and rehabilitation problems connected with drug addictions. The mission of the organization is to create and implement the prophylaxis programs of drug addiction and HIV/AIDS as well as providing of the psychological and social help to people, living with HIV/AIDS and drug users.
The international Alliance on HIV/AIDS is the international non-profitable organization set up in 1993 with the purpose of supporting the public initiatives directed, first of all, on combating HIV/AIDS epidemic in the developing countries and in the countries with transition economy. The Alliance began its activity in Ukraine in December, 2000 from realization of ”The program of support of NGOs and resources development in the field of HIV/AIDS prophylaxis” in cooperation with USA Agency on the international development within the framework of Transatlantic initiative of EC and the USA. Since March, 2003 the Alliance programs in Ukraine are realized by the International Charitable Foundation “The international Alliance on HIV/AIDS in Ukraine”.
